Once time passes we can’t get it back. The minutes we have now will soon be the days of yesterday. We NEED to plan – we MUST be disciplined if we want to be true to ourselves. A planned routine will work wonders for your confidence.
A planned routine will work wonders for your confidence.
What if everything you desired could be achieved and all you had to do was write it on a page, or draw it in a book, or pin it to your fridge? I am telling you this because a lack of direction will often lead to a lack of meaning – we will not strive for our morals and values, and we will consequently feel powerless.
Have you ever felt powerless and confident at the same time? It’s just not possible. Confidence means having faith in something despite the fear that you can’t control the outcome. You take the power back by having faith.
Confidence means having faith in something despite the fear that you can’t control the outcome.
It’s true in life that there will be many things we can’t control and it is important that we don’t try to control them. One of the biggest things that people regularly try to control (often to their detriment) is the thoughts and feelings of others, but these just become distracting – we will never know what others are thinking so we should always assume the best and move forward with that positive belief.
By writing down our goals and converting them into a daily routine that enables us to progress, we are setting ourselves up for growth. There is a euphoric feeling that comes at the end of each day when you can tick off all the boxes for the tasks you had planned to complete and you edge a bit closer to your goal. When you can sleep at night knowing that your efforts of the past day were directed toward your morals and values – this instills a sense of confidence.

From this confidence the tasks we set over time will continue to become more and more ambitious, and we will start to learn more and more what it takes for their successful completion. In saying this, it does not mean that we can now control the things we once had a lack of control over in life. It means that our routine is putting us in the best position in case the once uncontrollable situations of the past start to turn in our favour naturally.
We are merely just growing and enjoying our process of growth – simplicity is all we need. If we continue to make personal progress we will be ready for opportunities when they come our way, just be patient.
