A Boat Only Sinks When The Situation On The Outside Gets On The Inside

We have control over our thoughts and it is our thoughts that create our reality. Therefore, we have control over our reality.

What we believe into existence is who we become. So why do we back away from challenges that help us to grow when we know that it’s best for us? When we speak about a large ship, or even a small boat for instance – it will continue to stay afloat even in the harshest conditions when waves are crashing against the hull because the water cannot get in.

The same goes for your thoughts and the influences from the world around you. If you have a vision for your own growth and for a better world nothing should be able to stop you – nothing should be able to sink you.

If you have a vision for your own growth and for a better world nothing should be able to stop you – nothing should be able to sink you.

From time-to-time water might seep in through crevices that we have not attended to – we might have let the opinions of others drown out our ambitions – we may have let the pessimistic thinking of others slow us down on our growth – we may be getting distracted by addictions and tempted into poor choices. Think about it – a bit of water has gotten in and it has made the boat heavier – you cannot move as fast as you originally did – and if you keep on this track the boat will get heavier and heavier and you will be at risk of sinking.

We need to identify when ‘water starts to get in’ because it means we are engaging in behaviours or allowing ourselves to be negatively influenced by what’s happening around us – but luckily it’s our choice how we respond. We need to respond with patience – we need to get a bucket and scoop out all the water that weighs us down before we can patch up the crevice in the boat. In other words, we need to release and let go of the burdens that worry us before we can move forward freely and fix what went wrong.

The truth is, the longer we put off letting go of pain, the harder our struggle will be – by holding onto pain in the past we will give up a part of our present and it will hinder our growth in the future – we don’t want that.

To be at your ‘peak’ you need to be able to think freely and openly – you need to refuse to let your thoughts move off track from your ambitions and visions. You are the only person in this world capable of living out the visions you have in your head – if you don’t do it nobody else can. Let that one sink in.

In order to stay focused on our visions we must only attempt to control the things that we can, and let rest be as they are.

In order to stay focused on our visions we must only attempt to control the things that we can, and let rest be as they are. We must not live in fear of the things we cannot control. We must run towards the things we can control and that running pace must get faster and faster as we build momentum.

The more hard work we have put into something, the more it means to us, the harder it is to give up. So make sure that you are putting hard work into the good things like your health and your family’s needs, and leave a legacy of positivity.

Nobody escapes Earth alive – so it is the legacy we leave behind that we are remembered for. When you think of your visions it should give you goosebumps. You should be proud to become the person you aspire to.

If you keep your thoughts clear – that vision you have will continue to prosper – your legacy will be one of perseverance and hope – that’s what you want your kids and grandkids to remember you for, right?
