The Intent of Words – A Poem

They say you should say nothing,
if you have nothing good to say.
But, what if you have something
you're not sure is good to say?
What if that something
could make someones day?
Are we just to hold it, to carry it,
and keep it locked away?

If the words you have,
you truly yearn to share
Then just be brave cause
holding them's not fair
If you really want to show
others that you care
The most honest thing they know
Is that your presence is right there

The words are not important,
but the intent with which you share
If love is what you hope for,
then it's love that you shall bear
Your intent will always shine,
even in the darkest places
Just remember, love
No matter what the case is
