Happiness is not a destination – it is a state of mind. It is my belief that achieving happiness requires a maximum effort and a full desire to accomplish your dreams at whatever cost this might come. You have to be willing to risk the loss of what you have now as a means of growing spiritually.

Most mental obstacles – namely depression and anxiety are borne from an inability to let go of what we had in the past or a fear to lose what we have now. We are afraid to move away from what is familiar due to the fear that things may not work out if we try something different. But the truth is, the only thing we should fear is continuing to make the same mistakes and follow the same patterns that may have put us in this tough situation to begin with. To truly be happy we have to try new things and new ways of living. We have to realise that the key to happiness lies in our ability to make decisions in the present that will set us up for growth in the future. We have to believe in the activities that we do each day and have faith that they are allowing us to progress into better versions of ourselves.
So I urge you, stop whatever you are doing right now. Take a few moments to breath slowly and to clear your thoughts. Write down something that you’ve wanted to achieve for a long time, but don’t know how to do it, or have made excuses that have stopped you in the past. Make a plan and start small. Make a conscious effort to stick to your plan everyday. Your happiness will come in time as your state of mind shifts to one of positivity and progression towards your ambitions and goals.
And if you stuff up, have another try! and never ever stop trying!
